I’m Ash, author of The Cervical Solution: Unspoken Fertility Info, Tips, & How-tos Every Woman Should Know, and founder of The Pursuit of Fertility, a community centered around education and sustenance for women during ANY stage of a fertility journey.

When my second daughter Gwyneth died suddenly on her due date in 2015, I poured myself into researching fertility, attempting to understand the how and why of my tragic stillbirth. I longed to have another child but realized I didn't know how my own female reproductive system worked - at almost 30 years old!

For almost a decade, I’ve studied fertility awareness and meticulously practiced this method myself, making eye-opening discoveries about the female body during pregnancy, loss, postpartum, and beyond. I went on to give birth to 4 additional living babies with the knowledge I gathered and put into action in my life.

I determined that the cervix is vital to female fertility! It makes fertility awareness and natural family planning much more accurate - when trying to conceive or prevent pregnancy! I just HAD to write The Cervical Solution to let women know all the secrets I learned about the cervix over the years!

 

The death of my daughter uncovered a spirit of resoluteness within me. It revealed my purpose: to provide the education and support that I didn’t have during my loss and pregnancies. The Pursuit of Fertility aims to bring together individual coaching and education, along with a multitude of motherhood & fertility journey stories all women can benefit from. My book and business have been well-received because many women today are just like I once was - clueless about their fertility and in need of a listening ear. I’m here to change that!

I am a supporting member of the Association of Fertility Awareness Professionals and am currently completing a certification in Human Reproduction from The University of Adelaide. I reside with my husband and 5 living children in South Carolina. When I'm not obsessing over my own and everyone else's fertility, you can find me wiping toddler butts, painting, drinking hot tea with cream, teaching homeschool lessons, laughing with my 9 siblings, or getting dragged out of a thrift shop by my husband.
